IS E-PEAS’ RF (RADIO FREQUENCY) ENERGY HARVESTING FOR YOU?

Let’s assume that you work with battery powered IoT wireless devices in dark or dirty environment.

Without energy harvesting, you need to replace the batteries of those devices, because they run out of energy. This generates operational costs.

Using dedicated emitters emitting power at 868MHz (Europe),  915MHz (USA) or 2.4GHz, your devices can be powered up.

Emitters could be located to recharge the devices during the night as a wireless recharge option without any constraints; or could be used to recharge the devices all the time.

Depending on the power emitted by the source and the distance from the source (from 10’s of cm up to 10 m), typical power levels you can harvest range from 10µW to mWs.

One IC (AEM40940) offers you a long-distance solution to work with the 900 Mhz band.

Please note that e-peas provides adapted matching network and balun at 868 MHz and 915 MHz with the AEM40940.

Another IC (AEM304940) offers you long and small distance solution working with any frequency; if proper matching network used.

Please note that e-peas provides adapted matching network and rectifier at 868 MHz, 915 MHz and 2.4GHz with the AEM30940.

e-peas offers you 2 AEM [Ambient Energy Manager] references:

  • The AEM30940 allows you for harvesting energy from -19dBm up to 10dBm at any frequency using properly selected external antenna, balun and rectifier
  • The AEM40940 integrates an RF rectifier and allows you for harvesting energy from -19dBm up to 10dBm over the 900 MHz band using a properly selected external antenna and balun.
