We are glad to introduce you a new evaluation kit for solar energy harvesting made in partnership with Dracula Technologies. The kit includes an evaluation board with e-peas’ AEM10941 and Dracula Technologies’ organic photovoltaic (OPV) technology by inkjet printing – LAYER®. It is meant to help you to test your concept of shifting a device to solar energy harvesting easily and quickly.

About Dracula Technologies OPV
- Harvests ambient light (natural or artificial) to power low consumption indoor devices.
- It’s adaptable and customizable : Free shape design and on demand electric features.
- It’s a green-tech : No rare earths or heavy metals such as lead are used. Mainly carbon based material. (0,35 years energy payback time – 10,7 g C02-eq/kWH)
- A Low Cost technology : Low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) due to a significant reduction of maintenance costs.

One of the great advantages of LAYER® technology is its manufacturing process. We use bio-based conductive inks, specifically carbon-based materials. In addition, inkjet printing allows us to drastically reduce the amount of material used (1g of material to produce 1 square meter of surface). Our objective is to increase the lifespan of connected objects (>10 years) while reducing their environmental impact. We are working every day to develop LAYER® to further reduce its environmental impact (currently estimated at 0.35 years energy payback time – 10.7 g C02-eq/kWH)
LAYER® Demokit#6 is an Organic Photovoltaic (OPV) module made for powering low energy consumption electronic components under low light environment. It consists of 6 cells in series delivering around 570µW at 3V under 1000lux.
It is light, thin, flexible and highly resistance to impact as it is produced on flexible substrate. It comes with soldered cable wire for easy integration and testing.
