e-peas – Start-up of the Year 2018

During the 2018 Shake Event of the 6th of December, the first Digital Wallonia Awards were organized to promote outstanding Walloon startups. 3 awards were presented.

The goal of the first Digital Wallonia Startups Awards is to reward startups that have been particularly successful in 2018. A number a famous partners contribute to the event: the Digital Agency, The Faktory, Digital BW, Leansquare, Digital Attraxion, W.IN.G, Idelux, WSL, the BEP, the TIC and TWIST clusters, the KIKK Festival, Agoria , UWE, AWEX, La Première and Trends Tendances.

Each organization presented 3 to 5 companies per award category. Based on the compiled lists, the jury members voted online for their 3 favorite startups for each category. Finally, the jury met on November 21, 2018 for the final deliberations.

The most coveted prize is the Digital Wallonia Startup of the Year Award, awarded to the Walloon digital startup, which, according to the jury, was the most distinguished overall. The jury deliberated on criteria such as:

• the technological innovation of the solution,
• the development and growth of the startup,
• the market opportunity,
• the funding received,
• the recruitment capacity,
• international development.

And the winner is …

e-peas CEO, Geoffroy Gosset, receives the Award from the Minister of Digital Economy, Pierre-Yves Jeholet.
